86 FIERO 4CYL GAUGE PROBLEM
Posted: Tuesday, November 28, 2006 6:41 AM (UMST)
FIRST TIMNE RUNNING IN OVER 8 YEARS AND WENT DOWN THE ROAD AND GOT BACK.  OK here's what I noticed----car running gaauses all a-ok.  shut her off and the speedo and the tach still registering( but low ) . Turn on the ignition and both gauges drop to zero and when engine starts they operatee as normal.  Is there some kind of shoortcut feeding the gauges wqhen the ignition is turned off and will it drain the battery? Hmmm------Also;  noted that the oil pressure gause reads 4o #  and then all of a sudden spikes at 80# aand then in a few sec returns to 40#.   Hmmmmm   again----Could there be a slight blockage in the oil systtym causes a true spike in pressure oir is this an electrical problem?  Any thpoughts would be appreciated.  Thanks and a safe holiday season to all you Fiero lovers.  Bruce Moquin  ( brucenhisdog@aol.com)
